Shaped by the voices of more than 1,600 Tasmanians, the Connected and Respectful Tasmania initiative reflects a shared vision of building a state where everyone feels safe, heard, and valued , and an open invitation for you to help build it.

The Connected and Respectful Tasmania Initiative is a community-led initiative created by Relationships Australia Tasmania.

Our intention is to take what we heard in 75 conversations statewide, and amplify those voices to help create meaningful and lasting change.

We hope to act as an avenue for new connections and partnerships, to share stories and useful resources, and to advocate for what our communities have told us is important to them.

The story so far

Seventy five years of building meaningful connections.

Working towards a collective vision of a harmonious, diverse and engaged Tasmania. This is the beginning of a movement.
